Tasting Experiences

Gaucho is proud to offer the world’s largest boutique selection of argentine wine, a fact that was celebrated when we won ‘new world wine restaurant of the year’ at the 2009 drinking out excellence awards.

At the O2 we have a bespoke wine tasting room where we offer our diners the chance to try a few wines with our sommelier, either to select an appropriate bottle for their meal or simply to learn more about the wine itself. The experience is complimentary for smaller groups but we do offer a selection of experiences for larger groups, which are detailed below.

COCKTAIL MASTER CLASS

An exciting, interactive group experience that incorporates five classic cocktails with a twist. You will take a journey through the surprising, colourful history of each drink whilst you make it, and learn why to muddle or shake versus stir. You will learn why particular spirits blend better with certain fruits and flavours, and afterwards you can amaze your friends with your prowess as well as a little cocktail trivia.

Paired up, you will make your drinks as the master class leader talks you through each one, with a ‘taste off’ competition for the best drink of every round. This will culminate with the two highest-scoring teams taking part in a final ‘shake off’ with a surprise drink and, of course, a prize for the winners.

At the end of the event guests can enjoy a cocktail and canapé reception in the bar.
