1st October 2007
Where: 25 Swallow Street
The look: Think cowhide and mirrors and all things Argentinian. The ground floor has an atmospheric and dimly lit bar and Argentinian wine shop.
What to expect: The emphasis is on classic cocktails from the Americas, although bartenders are happy to mix up your favourite.
Signature cocktail: The Gaucho Bloody Mary – fresh tomato juice with chimichurri, fresh lemon juice, salt and pepper, beef consommé, Tabasco and Worcester sauce, mixed between two tins and served long with a salt and paper rim and celery rib.
To eat: Nip upstairs for some of the best Argentinian steak you’ll find in town.
